As we reported earlier, apple already patched the SHAtter exploit and Limera1n hardware based exploit in the iPad 2 by updating the hardware of the new apple 9.7 inch tablet. Meaning, we are left with very little option to jailbreak the iPad 2 and the recently iOS 4.3. However, the good news is that you can still jailbreak the iPad 2 as wll as thw iOS 4.3 with the help of the userland jailbreak.
Previously, an iPhone hacker goes under the name of Comex developed a jailbreak tool called JailbreakMe to jailbreak apple iPhone and iPod Touch by simply visiting the tool?s web site and performing a simple hacking tricks.
Now, due to the fact that Apple blocked some of the vulnerabilities into their gadgets, Comex and the iPhone Dev Team have figured out how to jailbreak the iPad 2, and of course it can be done using a userland exploit such as JailbreakMe.
Couple of days ago Comex has showcased a demo video of his jailbroken iPad 2 with Cydia installed. And it is speculated that he will release the latest version of JailbreakMe (version 3.0) anytime soon to jailbreak iOS 4.3 on iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, iPad 1, iPod touch 4G, and iPod Touch 3G. we?ll keep you posted as soon as Comex releases the JailbreakMe 3.0.
